Well I have never been on this lake where should I start looking for the fish. Im launching at Oak Cove and staying there too..

check pelican island and the 309 flats early for topwater

if you're standing on the oak cove ramp, look across and you'll see a house and a dock with a red roof.....cant wiss it......get about a hundred yds out from it and drift with shad and hold on

also go about a quarter mile north of that and you'll see a water intake , fish there too for cats...if no shad, use weiners

Also you might try the humps south of the 287 bridge, between bridge and island its actually the old 287 bridge. It works for in march thru april
