Launched at Copperas ramp (Highland Village) at 7.00am, went under I-35 bridge and the water was alive with top action, as far as the eye could see, a few dinks but also some very nice Sandies and we hit a few under size Hybrids, my wife catching the biggest Hybrid around 4 Ibs, approx 18 inches long, the action started to let off around 11.00am, but we still caught some large Sandies by casting a 1 Oz slab and letting it touch bottom and retrieving it slow. Got off the water by 11.30am with 25 really good sandies in the cooler for Fish fry on Monday and at least 70 returned to catch another day. It was nice to see birds working again on Lewisville, they have really been missed this year. All fish caught on Humdingers and TNT Slabs.

Good to hear the surface action has returned along with this hot weather. Nice job putting the wife on fish. Now just teach her how to clean 'em (lol).
