Well the fishing has continued to be as hot as the weather. The lake has come up another foot or so, and that seems to have moved alot of the fish to the inside grass line where it meets the pond weed. Clients have enjoyed some of the best frog fishing in years as well as weightless senkos. AS the water levels off, I will follow them back to the outside grass line on channel bends, ledges, and points. you can still catch some nice fish in the heat of the day punching the grass with rtr rigs and Hydrilla Bombers, while the scrapes seem to be smaller this year the size is definitly still there. you can also work the edges with dd 22's and soft sided swimbaits. As some of you know on Amistad there are always some fish deep and we have been able to capitalize on them with a drop-shot and small plastics. As always wether you want to book a trip or just get a few questions answered about patterns, areas, lodging and etc...Feel free to call me on my cell (830)719-9006. I am always willing to help anybody make the most of their trip to the big blue.
Here are a few pics from some happy clients.
I just want to say that this was Mrs. Cottrell's first attempt at fishing soft plastics and I have never seen anybody pick up the feel of the bite so quickly. After catching several 2-4lb fish she showed just how well she had listned and caught this Amistad beauty on her own.

Here are a couple of fish from another satisfied client.
