Any idea what is going on when the fish just all of a sudden stop biting...I mean like a switch. They bite bite bite then all stop.
No way it can be they all get full at the same time.
Any ideas out there? Any remedy?

Bait scatters, change in lighting conditions, enough boats pull up increasing noise/soundwaves from sonar/trolling motor, etc., gar come in the area Could be alot of different things? I don't think that you'll be able to pin point it to one thing. All depends on what's going on I think.

LOL, the fish just move often, they follow bait, and the jet fleas often drive them away. On Grapevine, that happens all of the time, they turn on, then boom, they turn off.

Late August and September can be the toughest times of the year to CONSISTANLY catch White Bass. The Crappie and Hybrids and Stripers can really save the day and can be your go to fish during this time.
The White Bass/Sand Bass are normally a little hit and miss.
Its looking like September came a little early this year for the Sand Bass. But the Crappie are starting up now.

Water temps dropped 5 in most lakes this last week with some cooler rains. Bait moved. Once they adjust it'll get good again.
Patience.

All the rain plus we had a cold front in August. Wind was out of the north for several days - instant turn off.

Thanks for all the tips. I guess I was hoping someone would say 'when they turn off try a red blade with a blue feature hook'
:-) I guess finding them and getting them to bite is all part of the game.. .. sure is fun.

Whitebass/stripers/hybrids are all schooling fish so the bite will usually be hot or not. Sometimes they are just not feeding but most of the time they are just not feeding where you happen to be fishing Keep searching if you ain't catching!
