Looks like it has water. Should be some fish there.

I may even try that tomorrow night for a couple of hours ... if you or anyone else wants to meet up to try it, let me know.

Well ... I got bored and decided to take a run out there tonight ... just to look-see ... it is only 20 mins from my house ...
It seems that the whole lake may be private property. I drove along Oakland Blvd and the area was WELL marked with "Private Property" and "No Trespassing" signs. No one could claim to have missed them so that seems to be the end of that. Looking again at the Google map, there may be access from the eastern shore but I'm going to say that I doubt it ... I'm thinking that this is private. It looks pretty big too. I'm guessing if it wasn't private we'd have heard more about it on TFF before now.
However, if you are looking to go fishing sometime, I'd be happy to host you on my boat on Eagle Mountain sometime. Just PM me if interested.

Proline ... Thanks for the info. Its a shame as it really is so close to me and would be nice to use. I am wondering if we know the purpose of the lake/pond? I'm wondering if the owner could be approached to allow those that might want to use it to fish for a fee (assuming its good enough).
I'm also wondering if the whole access is private ... ah well ... I thought it might be too good to be true :-)

http://texasfishingforum.com/forums/ubbthreads.php/topics/2132626/Ft_Worth_pond#Post2132626heres a nother thread about the pond. i went there one time. it was a bad day to fish. seems like a nice place. if i were you i would park in the parking lot right before the pond then just walk quickly down there. bring some rubber boots you will need em. im thinkin of bring some waders next time i run out there.
go go gadget rat-l-trap
