I never had a stick steering boat. The faster I go in my used boat the harder it is to move the stick steering. Is that normal or do I need to replace the cables?

You will get a lot of torque coming from the motor. What size motor do have? You can adjust the trim tab to help reduce torque or add a torque tab to the skeg.

I would adjust the trim tab trailing edge to the right.
