That's a great picture Starless!
I have one in my backyard right now that is obviously "courting." His call is very loud and goes on for most of the night. I haven't been able to find him though. I'm pretty sure he's hidden in the rocks in the waterfall by my garden pond. I'm about ready to go to a pet store to find a female friend for him so I can get some sleep! Never heard him before; he just showed up (started being noisy) on Sunday.

Great image. You nailed the eye focus and that always helps make the shot. Well done.

Great pic man.
It's definitely of the Bufo Genus.

Looks to be a gulf coast toad(Bufo valliceps)
if not, its just a very thin defined southern(Bufo terrestris)

lol future herpetologist speaking.

Thanks a lot guys!

Blue Moon, that's a very big compliment coming from you, thanks!

RiverRat - Yeah, in the Rough fish section I posted it again, and after what happened here with people expecting a largemouth...

I called it Bufo down there hehe. They'd either get the reference or go in expecting a buffalo lol.

Thanks on the species, I wasn't sure, we get Toads fairly often but they are more commonly American Toads ( I think ). Haven't seen one with that coloration very often.

Yeah. We have quite a few of the genus Bufo around here.
Some of the gulf coasts have that nice definition to their pattern. Cool toads. Great find.

Great shot, SB. Was gonna say that's not a toad at all, but Mason beat me too it hehe.
