Well Im tired of fishing from the peirs around the Sabine area and me and a couple of friends have decided to go down to Matagorda to there Uncle's house for our fishing trips form now on.
They all use there hunting waders for fishing but I was wondering what would yall suggest (Company wise) the best waders for fishing. Also can you inform me where to get a wade belt (the ones with the pole holder/tackle box/stringer/ect.)
Take Um'!

Definitely Simms. Not the cheapest but among the best.

I have some Hodgman Wadelights I use a lot for trout fishing, they are not too pricey at Cabela's. The Cabela's house brand is even cheaper.

I wouldn't even use waders until the water got much colder - you will be very hot in them until November. Wear shorts and shuffle your feet. Academy sells good wading boots that are lightweight and will work great. Save the neoprene until winter.

For neoprene, cabelas has a pair of 3mm for about 75 bucks. I've had a pair for about 5 years. Only use them when it's below 50 degrees and they keep me plenty warm.

waders from march/april to november can be the death of you, it gets very hot and when you sweat, good luck getting them off, i even feel that way sometimes in january. i too recommend some hodgman waders and like said, cabelas and academy has some good store brands too. be sure to buy a different pair of shoes, a size bigger, the last thing you want are sore feet while wearing waders from too small a shoe. wal-mart makes some nice 15 dollar hiking boots that'll lace up tight and protect the waders from oyster shells, and seeing how i forget my shoes everytime i go, whats a 15 dollar pair of shoes anyways, haha.
and drinking beer while wearing waders fishing deep for trout isn't recommended when the hike to knee deep water is 50-100 yards every time. i always use it as an excuse to fish for reds haha

I have a pair of uninsulated waders made by Orvis. In my opinion this is the better than neoprene as you can get some under armor cold gear leggings, uppers, wool socks, and a wind breaker jacket for when it it cold but on the iffy days you can go without layers and just wear the waders, do not have to worry about burning up in them if you do not want to. Also, as for the wade belt, most coastal Academy's carry a nice one, around $40 I believe and you get the rod holder, needle nose pliers, stringer, and pouch and box for extra items. I would recommend adding a water bottle holder to the setup because as mentioned before, it can get pretty hot out there. For summer, just wear fishing pants, wading boots and shuffle your feet. Also, hodgeman has some great wader boots that are pretty reasonable.
Keep a tight line!
