Looking for some tips on what to check on my bow trim switch on my '98 Triton/Merc 150. Switch will tilt the motor up but not down. Replaced the switch, but had the same problem. Appreciate any advice on what/where to look to fix it.

Dose the other switch work? if so you probable have a bad connection on the front switch. If it dose not go down at all the the thingy on the motor is bad.

If all other trim locations work the switch itself is bad or loose connection.

Or the wire itself could be damaged...

Thanks for the input. All other switches work fine up and down. Guess I just will have to try and trace the wire.
