Had a good evening of fishing today.
Caught 2 small bass the first hour and a half I was there then I caught this guy below and decided he was worth running up to get the camera for.

After this I decided to do some catfishing b/c I wanted some dinner for tonight or lunch for tomorrow. So i threw some Danny king in the water and off we went. Caught a bunch of under sized channels and ended up with 2 keepers, thats enough for a meal tho.

I had the two on the stringer and then some locals decided they wanted to show they're support for catch and release by stealing my fish..

By the time I noticed there were FOUR Diamondback watersnakes trying to get my fish.. so I picked up the stringer and only one was hanging on.. shook him off no problem..

^ one trying to come back.

after this I decided it was about time to head back to the truck. I saw at least three more on my way back. Theses guys are crazy right now. They give live birth and should have been having their litters the last 2-3 months. So we have lots of hungry moma's that gave birth recently and lots of new babies running around.

Anyway, I got home and was starving since all I had eaten all day was ramen noodles.. heh.

Had to break out the fine china for that meal huh? That is awesome....head to the lake, catch some fish, head to the house and fry em up.....doesn't get much fresher than that!

Yeah those snakes are nuts around there this time of year. I had one on a brush hog one night that just would not let go.

They call it fishing, not catching for a reason..

Bass are good every now and then.
But I'll leave em as a sport fish with an occasional eater.
I like to eat em at about 15-16" if I do and Grapevines slot limit doesn't allow that so I'll release them all there unless one gets beat up to bad in the process of angling.
