Last week a friend of mine went to Tradinghouse Lake near Waco. Tradinghouse Lake is a power plant lake but the power plant has not generated in a couple of years. He and his wife caught around 40 whites when they ran upon a school hitting the water, feeding on schooling Shad. Nothing unusual until he noticed they were full of eggs and sperm. I do not doubt what he saw cause I feel he is very knowledgable and honest. Has anyone else ever heard of whites spawning in the middle of the summer?

interesting...I've caught some really nice whites down there while fishing for Reds.

They're saving up for next spring. There are some huge whites in that lake.

Over the years we have caught many whites in late summer to early fall that were full of eggs/milt from this lake. I do not know why. I have never seen the number of whites as high as it is now but they have always been rather large. With that said I must ask has any one caught a redfish out of this lake this year?
