Bought a used (2002) 40 hp Honda 4 stroke a while back. I don't have a tachometer. Seems to run perfectly. Can't find any documentation on what prop is on it. Is there markings stamped on it somewhere that tells what size it is? I got it on a 16X48 flat bottom jon boat. It pushes it at 29 to 31 WOT. Am pleased with it but was wonderin' if it is doin' about as good as it can or would a prop change give me enuff more top end to make it worth it. It comes outta the hole now pretty quick when I stick it. Slower outta the hole would be okay. Thanks smile

i pretty sure power tech makes the honda props.
there should be some numbers on the barrel, towards the bottom. if not remove the prop and see if there are any numbers on the hub cylinder.

sounds like a 10 3/8's x 13p.
