once i get my boat fixed i was going to get my prop messed with. for one it has a small crack in it. right now i am running a 23p four blade prop for my 1990 evinrude 150xp with a hydrofoil which was on there when i bought it. my holeshot is pretty slow and when fully on plane trimmed out i am only running 4950-5050 rpms @ 52mph gps. is this right? i was thinking of going down to a 22p? i feel i should at least doing high 50's. what should i do? help me out steve, anybody! thanks.

You definately have too much wheel. You fail to mention what type of boat, but when I had my 1987 Ranger 373 with a 150 XP, it ran best with a 22" Raker.

I've always prefered the 3 blades on P II's.

i agree with kingwoodranger... a 22p Raker should do the trick.

Now, the hard part is gonna be finding a "good" one!! i don't have any left!
