Anyone see that boat show in the middle of the lake this morning? Man, must have been 30+ boat covering the 20-30 acres of schooling sandies. They stayed up for hours but mostly dinks and a keeper every now and then. Was mostly looking for the hybrids underneath but couldnt find any takers. Just sandies today. Did anyone have luck with the hybrids?

I was in that boat show. Caught only 2 hybrids between 10-11am this morning under that large area of scattered schooling fish mid-lake. I was the 2nd boat in that boat show this morning, and the schooling seemed to start much later than it had the last few days. There were a lot of trees in the area they were schooling in today, and I had a hard time keeping my baits down.

We were in that boat show this morning and did catch one 4 pound Hybrid from off the bottom at 46 feet deep. Used a large Sassy Shad type of bait. Boated 3 other Hybrids today with a solid 6 pounder as the largest. It was our best effort so far with Hybrids. Thanks, Tom/Tom. Hybrids sure are alot more fun than those small sandies. Caught 50 of those in the morning. Had a good time at Lake Lewisville. Wish they didn't have to charge so much for launching a boat.

GoFishNow why don't you invest in a yearly pass? It's only $25 for Lewisville residents, $50 for others. It's good at Tower Bay and Lake Park ramps. Mine has paid for itself already. I remember when the launch fee from Tower Bay was $3.

Would agree with the annual pass. I get my 70 year old father in law/fishing partner to buy it and we get the senior rate/resident rate even though we don't live in Lewisville.
Not that I want more action at the two lake park ramps..

I did buy the pass this year at Ray Roberts. We used it enough to pay for it. Too bad Ray Bob has no Hybrids. Lewisville is close to Coppell so may as well start fishing there more often. Guess I'll spring for the $50. Does it go for the 12 months from when purchased? One more thing. Our(older)GPS contour map does not include Lewisville Lake. Anyone out there got a sale going on that?

The season pass at Westlake park is 30.00 and is good for 1 yr from date of purchase.

I use Westlake almost exclusively but I am getting fed up with it lately. First off, the 10:00pm curfew. If you want to do some night fishing, gotta launch somewhere else and your pass is not good anywhere else. Come in past that and try to get out and you'll have to call the Hickory Creek PD which will fine you $45 (yes, I have experience realmad). The ACOE maintains that park and it hasnt been the same since last years flood. They threw all that money into a fancy entry house but closed all camping due to the flood damage with no plans to open to overnight camping ever again. The boat dock is useless, pushed against the shore. It broke loose or sunk back in April "this" year. Constant phone calls to them and all I get are excuses about not being able to get their tow boat over to move it. $30 a year is not much but your not getting much for it either.

West park used to be my fav launch but now the pier is gone it's useless. I am happy and thankful the corp did fix the pier on the ramp I use now but the light is still out. The price is right so I'm not going to bother them about it. I just put a glow stick on it if I'm out late.

Unfortunately, the pass for Lake Park is only good through the end of the year. Come January you will have to renew. When the gates close at 9:00 pm they run all the day use folks out. However, if you are in your boat you can fish as long as you want. They have a one way exit gate that stays open.

I bet I launch the same place as BigMack! Good ramp but getting too popular. Glad they fixed the dock too now for the lights. BUT I would rather have the low price than lights. GPS GPS GPS take me home.

I feel more like I do now than I did when I first got here!

There is a 14 day extension for the Lewisville Pass after the 1st of the year.
