I have a 92 GMC truck with an unsightly film on the headlight lens and tail light lens.

Any suggestions on how to remove this film? I rubbed it with polishing compound but it did not improve very much.

Thanks!

3M sells a polish kit that you use with your drill works really well. On the 3M website.

tried the polish and wet sand paper on mine(98 suburban, not much help.
clean them as best you can and fine sandpaper off the rough stuff.
then get you a can of Krylon clear and give them a thin spray.
i put two coats on mine and it made a hell of a difference!!!!

I love the smell of 2 stroke in the morning !!!

take a marine rubbing compund for gelcoats (like 3m) and buff 'em, they'll shine like new, works on glazed head lights too

Flitz metal polish will do wonders as well!

Brasso works great on plastic lenses.
