I have been night fishing over at Lavon. Mostly because I like the fact that I can go to East Fork park, pay my $3 and know that they are going to close the gates at 10 and nobody will be driving through the park.

I would rather go to Lewisville and I was thinking about Little Elm park. Have any of you guys that night fish had your truck/trailer messed with at Little Elm park? Also, is there a time when you have to get out of the park if you launched there? At Stewarts Creek you are supposed to be out by 10pm if you bought a launch pass.

I don't trust none the park's at night ...Just have good ins ... and park where its well lite for your safety ..

The park is open 24/7. The LE police regularly patrol the park, but I've never left my truck there after dark.

On the other hand, I use the Oak Point boat ramp all the time. I've night fished several times and never had any problems. It's open 24/7 and cost $3.50 for a day pass.

been launching out of there for 4 years, never had a problem.
just lock up your truck. never seen any broken glass out there,
so I assume it's prob. safe. LEPD cruises the ramp about every
hour or so during the summer months

if you want to drive to lewisville you can park at lake park. they close at 9 i think so nobody else comes in but you can stay parked if you are out fishing.

Thanks for the replies. My truck is old and my trailer isn't much to look at but that don't mean I want it stolen. I'm mainly worried about somebody stealing the catalytic converter.

I might give it a try since it looks like the police monitor it pretty well.
