when I transfer waypoints of brush piles that I have marked from Navionics hot maps explorer to my sonar/G.P.S.,and when I am on the lake and I go to one of these waypoints, how close will I be to the real brushpile? I have a lowrence LMS 480m if this makes any difference, with Navionice Prem,07 South...........

each unit reacts different. I have had some, that when transferred- were right on.. others were 3 yards off. They should be close enough that you can drop your marker on the waypoint, do small circles until you find it and see what the error difference is like. then you can push that error on the other piles and have an idea of where they are. Most likey, you will be within a few feet.

It also depends on your lock on the number of satellites and their signal strength. You can always look at the EPE on the status page, or overlay EPE on your map page. EPE - Estimated Position Error. A high number means less accurate. A low number means more accurate. The value displayed is in feet.

I overlay the error position on my map page so I can always tell how far off the position may be. Usually around a boat lenght off and Ihave an internal antena.
