Got a letter from my Farmers Agent last week stating that Farmers Insurance is exiting the Boat Insurance Market and will not renew any existing policies when they expire. Would like to know what Boat Insurer has the best customer service and rates. I imagine many others received (or will soon receive) the same notice from Farmers. Thanks,
Axeme

I have had excellent luck with Seahorse Underwriters in Birmingham, Alabama....phone number is 1-800-277-6698...pretty sure it is a limited partner of Elton Porter here in Houston..

I made one claim in 7 years for a lower unit that blew up about 2 1/2 years ago with no rate increse..

Good Luck
Ronnie

Axeme,
My wife works for Farmers and I gave her a call to question your comment. She said Farmers does still cover baots, infact they just purchased Foremost, an insurance co. that covers boats. She said that there is a lot of agents that are taking this chance to get out of boats and other "RVs" all together.
If you have your car or home ins with Farmers, or any policy for that matter, you should save by seeking a policy with Foremost.
At least give them a call & see if multiple policies will help you any.

Foremost(Marine Dept) 1-800-457-1103

P.S. Me nor my wife get any kick back or anything for this. Just an angler in the know helping another angler.

GOOD LUCK & TIGHT LINES!

I use United Marine Underwriters or UMU they have a great price. I have not had to make a claim with them thankfully so I can't say how they are with Customer Service. But the rates can't be beat. 800-477-7140
