You cant always(and really almost never) rely on surfacing fish--rely on your graph instead. Well actually when we caught all they hybrids there was nothing on the graph. As we were casting to the edge of the schooling fish. Also at Cooper this weekend the only thing the graph was used for was for locating depth. But hey what do I know, I figure I better start listening to the pros. So I can catch some fish. Well I am off to another lake today. I give up. Sell all of your elecrtonics, buy a good pair of binocs and you should be set.

I was just following up on these reports lately of all the schooling fish out there and just hang a big slab or sassy shad under them long enough and a hybrid will find it. I'm just trying to get something I can grill instead of frying them all the time.
it's all in the wrist

Armando has potlicked since he started fishing. He has his following and I am sure those guys look for him on the lake. If armando says there is no need for a graph,I guess I should sell it and just rely on other fisherman and schooling fish. You do not see me on the lake because I have no reason to potlick or be near all the boats. Pm sent.

For the record.....alot of the fish that were caught were surfacing fish in deep water in no structure and on the move. 40+ feet.... 1 boat in sight at the time and saw the exact thing we were seeing. We were outside of the school casting to the edge them and retrieving back towards the boat, nothing on the graph, except 88 degrees and 43ft. We then went to an underwater ridge across the lake (only boat in sight)and managed another 5 or so hybids and countless sandbass fishing on the bottom till dark. We did find those fish with the graph.
