Hey folks, I've always-ed loved running trot-lines with friends but I don't get to very often and since I'm stuck on the shore I want to give throw lines a shot. I live in Haltom city just north of Fort Worth. Most of the catfishing I do is at Denton or Marshal creek.. still looking for more places to do so.

Any tips on setting them up and checking them?
What kind of hooks should I use, and should I use a piece of rubber at the end?

I'm here a lot surfing, just don't say much.
Just for reference, I'm Jesse. 17yo

I thought throw lines were outlawed. Not sure. I have never used them, but a long time ago my sister in law used them and did well with them.
