Has anyone used an okuma baitcast? Specifically the VS series? I want that reel for my pfleuger medium action pole but wanted to get some advice. Otherwise, i will get a shimano. That okuma feels awesome but you never know for sure until you buy it. Anybody used it before? How does it act with 50lb braided?

I forgot what model it was but I bought one from academy at $130 and I got it home and looked at the push button and it had a lot of side to side motion in it like it was missing a pin. Whent and returned it and got A Abu Garcua Revo S and never turned back, this thing is amazing just picked up a Revo SX and Im sure it will make me fall in love with them all over again.
Take Um'!

50lb Braid? I have never used my VS 100 or 200 with braid but I have never had an issue. I do use REVO's quite a bit. I really like Okuma's rods (for value and quality) and their Spinning reels. I think that they are one of the best for the money. Other than that, it's a judgment call.
