Anytime you take the time to go fishing regardless of the results is a good time to go.

thats pretty strange. Its seemed like every time it started to rain on me the fish decide to all bite at once. I remember numerous times where i've been fishing and not had a bite all day then as soon as it starts to rain all the lines go down and having to try pulling 2 lines in at once.
Those were just summer showers though nothing to rough.

Anytime you take the time to go fishing regardless of the results is a good time to go. Best kitty fishing day I've ever had was last spring after some serious rains in Denton creek on Grapevine. Water was flowing swift and we couldn't keep lines out they were hitting them so fast. We ended up cutting back to 4 rods because we couldn't keep the usual 10 baited. Didn't keep count, probably around 60, or any fish but we were wore out by the end of the day.

I've caught some mighty nice fish of all kinds in the rain! In the summer the cloudy days are my favorite for both the good fishing and the better temps. If it gets too ugly I head for a 6 lane bridge and hide out under there until it lets up. I've also caught some fish under there but during the days it is right at the ramp and the ski boats drive me up the wall.
If you don't know where you are going, don't be surprised if you don't get there.
