Me and my Son decided to put a deer stand on the place we hunt north of Childress, Texas. Took us 5 hours to get it built but we had a great time doing it together. I am definately no master craftsman, as you can tell from the crooked cutting on the windows, but it was still fun to do together.
Here is the begining:

The Framing:

The Finished Product:

Thats awesome. Wish I had more memories with my dad like that. One question... What have you done to anchor the stand. I would think that the wind would tip that over. I would pound some rebar down 3 foot maybe you could use wire like on small trees.

Thanks. It is a very heavy stand but your right about the wind. We got 2 fence posts. Hammered one by the back of the stand on one side and the other on the front on the other and wired them to the legs.

We have a wonderful relationship. Hes my buddy. He wants to be a Game Warden when he grows up and before that he wants to go to Texas A&M College. One of hie determining factors about Texas A&M was they have a fishing team lol.

Nice looking stand

I would rather have a bad day fishing, than a good day at the office!

Nice stand. Just throw in a fogger the weekend before deer season to kill the wasps. Stuff usually kills them until cold weather sets in.

Waiting on Bob Davis' next selfie

Got a feeder but have to wait until it rains out at our farm to go get it. Too sandy and cant get the truck out to it. When the sand is wet, you can drive a car out there.
