Just looking at buying and wondering what boat most of you ladies use and like? Would like to fish and ski, but mostly fish. Love the cats and crappie!
And what motor do you like? Do you use your bass boat to do other things or just fish?

go with a javelen 379 fish and ski i own one and it is great has a johnson fast strike 150 hp on it and will go 60 easily its great for fishing and tubeing sking wake boarding etc.....
rides very smooth. the johnson is very reliable never had trouble at all. the only bad thing about the whole deal is the engine burns 15 gallons for 2 1/2 hours of pulling ski or tube
and 3 hours empty. so if u just take it out on the weekends its great but like i said its the best engine ive ever had or seen and the boat is perfect. u can take out the back seat and put in a ski pole pulls great fishes great

I don't own a boat, yak, or a canoe.

If this will be your first boat, and you mostly fish for cats, etc. You may wanna look into the xpress alum. boat. and a yamaha outboard. very tough, and very dependable boats, not to mention fairly affordable new, and lot's of them used around.

call Billy at Sartin Marine. 903-383-7726. tell him Steve sent ya.

I had a 901 Nitro with a 200 Mercury Optimax. Will be ordering my new boat shortly. It will be a Nitro with a Mercury Optimax again.

I use mine for fishing only, but it can be used to ski (and prolly will be when ny daughter gets a little older). I run a 2001 Ranger with a 2007 200 ETEC. Great front deck room!

I like my Triton TR 21 for how it handles the waves and the overall smooth ride. I have been in several brands of boats when I fished the co-angler side of the WBT and there are several good brands out there.

Okay I now have a boat, working on it...trying to get it ready. With a fresh paint job...my Arkansas Traveler of 1964 will be one heck of a boat. This is all because of some wonderful people on TFF, and I am forever grateful to them. I have a trolling motor, but no motor yet. Not sure when I will get a motor...but for now I am thrilled just to have a boat, and a trolling motor is better than oars anyday of the week...hehehe. Soon I will have pics of me fishing from that boat, and I will post 'em asap.

I love my Legend. It is a Alpha 199 with a 225 Optimax Pro XS. My advice take Demo rides in whatever you are looking at buying. It will definitely help in making your decision.
