Its been awhile since I've been able to fish and I was wondering if anyone knew of somewhere out a Joe Pool to do some catfish fishing off the bank.

I haven't had any luck off the "steps" by Lynn marina. Maybe someone can help us both.

I'm going out to Loyd park in the morning to try my luck. I used to have some good luck out there when me and my dad used to go. Anybody know if there is anything out at the spillway anymore?

Looks like the wife and I are taking our kids, along with several others out to Pool on Saturday. Going mainly for the kids recreation, but I will be sure to scope around and look for some fishing holes. Might even be able to convince her to let me take a pole even! Will let you guys know if I manage to find any fish..

You might check back there south of the bridge in the trees. I would think that would be a good starting spot for some cats.

GPfisherDad, if the cats don't bite, bring 4 cans of sweet corn, throw 1 can out in a fan cast direction, every 30 minutes to an hour, save the 4th can for hook bait and have fun catching those famous JP Carp!

Were you catching Catfish CRFV? And yes dmunsie, although I consider myself a bass fisherman first, I am more than happy to catch anything I can. Many a late night fishing trip was saved from skunkage by my forethought to carry a couple cans of good ole sweet corn
