I have a 55 lb Minn Kota on a boat that I just bought and it is hooked up to the same battery as everything. Does it need its own battery or two batteries. It will turn now but will not move the boat. Can someone please help?

Definitely need a deep cycle battery for the trolling motor seperate from everything else. Make sure it is a deep cycle battery. More than likely it is a 12 volt TM and only needs 1 battery.

At least my boat and truck are paid for, woo hoo!
