This bite in the California delta is still HOT! Hadn't been out there for a week and a half... what a mistake. Got back out there today and was rewarded with this beautiful 8.0 lber on a Dirty Jigs Pitchin' jig. The only difference this time was she was on the 3/4 oz. "black on black" instead of my standard "molting craw". Too much fun! The kicker on the story is that I had a friend with me today who had never fished before... as I'm laying down to lip this fish I hear him say, "so, how big do they need to be before I get the net?" I replied with something along the lines of, "THIS ONE WOULD HAVE BEEN BIG ENOUGH!!!"

 You're the man. Where exactly in CA is this lake? I grew up in SoCal and never saw any hogs like this.
