I use them on a tiny hook to catch bluegill off my dock.
there is a company that make a " crappie bite " It is a little
bigger than a pencil eraser. Channel cat love'em , but I have
not even tried them for crappie.

Used them, think they work great. Seen them used by pros and am convinced its another tool to put in arsenal. Think color is up to preference of angler.

I use them, most days I'm not sure they really help getting bites
but I'm sure they greatly increase my hook-up ratio. The crappie
hold on to the jig longer using them.
I use Glo-yellow most of the time. I use white when fishing
a blue and white plastic body.
