Stripers are not like they used to be. Most of the guides are using sand bass to fill in the gaps on their trips is what I heard.

dynamite works well for me. LOL I have fished Whitney threee times this year, and haven't put a keeper in the boat. I have caught several under sized stripers on wild eye's and chartruse striper jigs. Try fishing the towash creek area, and the shore line aroung the parks 14 to 20 ft water. Good luck.

Limits of Big Stripers have been coming on live Shad, key in on main lake points and humps. The thermocline has set in and most are being caught on ledges above the thermocline, some being caught downrigging chartruese jigs with white trailers as well. They are spooking real easy so if you see boats set up catching fish please come in on your trolling motor. Been having boats pulling up within a few feet with there big motor running and spooking fish off humps. Whitney has made a major recovery and all the fish that survived the golden algae days are big, fat and healthy. Averaging 5 to 6 Lbs. and busting several 10 to 12 lbrs., report that 2 20 lb Stripers caught last week. As far as Hybrids, there where 2 6 Lb. Hybrids caught last week at the same time, there are some even though they have never been stocked. Good luck.
