Figured I had found my "justified" trip to Amistad. Suggested a trip to Del Rio next weekend to the wife to play golf at the recently redone San Felipe Golf Course. Thinking she would never notice the boat behind the truck. Made reservations, made tee times, she says "OH this is MY weekend and NO FISHING"!

Now if I drop her off the bridge on 277 coming in is that justified? She looks like she can swim!

May have to resign myself to visit Carl's Angler Lodge Tackle shop Sunday morning early then sulk my way home.

JR---You won't get a honk when I go over the bridge but wear a hat. Plus she mentions that my garage and boat full of baits, my rods/reels, boat have covered several years of cart/green fees. I keep mentioning my great shopping deals, but she mentions something about "Ya Sure".

Already planning trip #2. Think maybe I can convince her we need the boat to float the San Felipe Springs? May drive the cart in and tell her "would be no problem if we had the boat". Think I am covered?

BTW what time Sunday does the Tackle Shop open? I can slip out and in before she wakes. As always she will never know I was gone---think she also says she doesn't know when I am there? Wonder what she means about that?

We open at 5 am but you might be safer to wait till after 8 am and then tell here that you are going to take her to Anglers Lodge Cafe for a really good home cooked breakfast, and that it has been recomemded by several people as being the best plase to eat that time of morning. Just be sure and don't come till after 8 because we serve tacos only till 8 am on the weekends. Then when you are out here the tackle store is just accross the parking lot. You can always duck out and go over or wait till after you eat and as long as you have the keys what is she going to do?????????????

Hopefully she will like the golf course and want to go back. Then I can tell her what a great place Anglers Lodge is and how since we only golf about 4 hours I can take the boat to get out of her hair and .....

Should have come by Anglers Lodge Jim we were there. We could have let the ladies do what they are best at and we could have slipped off to the water.
