Four of us are going out on a chartered trip in August. We will be the only customers on the boat with the guide. The trip cost $850 + "expenses". My question is. What is considered an expense on one of these trips? Is gas an additional expense? Also, how much should we tip? Thanks

Inshore i am assuming?
Does he have a deck hand going?
gas should be included. i would tip about 50 per person depending on how good of a hand he is... if he puts you into some fish, if he can take good pictures hahaha... hope you enjoy it.

Well my brother called the guide. Gas is "extra" between $200 - $300. Seems like an expense that big they'd mention. We're taking our GF's so it's not a 4 way split. Pretty rough on a couple of poor boys.
