Like the schedule, was able to fish two of the weekend series and was looking forward to next year but September 5th and 6th? Is that Labor Day weekend?

Yea that's Labor Day. That may affect me fishing the series. I don't know what everyone else's plans are for holiday weekends but that usually involves a family trip.

I will be out on that schedule. To many trips to East Texas. With gas prices as high as they are that group of lakes makes no since for me to fish. My closest event is more than 2 hours. But if you live in Tyler then they are closer to home. I do not see the need to have two trails in East Texas. When the trail was the Chaparral Division it averaged more boats than it does now. They might as well call them East Texas trails 1 and 2 and then have a fish off between the 2 divisions. I really feel if they would have kept this event in North Texas it would have carried more boats. Fishing Lakes like Lewisville, Grapevine, Ray Hubbard, Lavon, Ray Roberts. Keeping the trail close to a major population I think would have helped.

The tournament organizations took note and have moved on.

As of right now, none of the dates are confirmed yet. This was a mock up schedule to try to get everything lined up and in order. I would look for the lakes to be in that order and around the same time frames, but not set yet.

The BWS 2009 schedule posted here was a proposed scheduled Porter sent in for review & comparison w/ other trails to avoid conflicts. Its hard to schedule around other events & holidays when there are so many events to schedule (running 5 divisions). I spoke w/ Porter & the Sept. 5/6 is going to probably be changed (I think to late August).
As for there being 2 TX East divisions the Sam Rayburn anglers wont leave the area (Rayburn & Toledo Bend) & were steadily growing in that division, but we recognize the need to enter the northeast area as well. We dont get into the DFW area b/c angler polling has indicated preference to stay around Tyler (hoping DFW anglers will travel).
We hope the $5,000 guaranteed 1st place will attract more anglers for 2009 & look forward to another year.
