Have not seen reports for Bp in a while. We are catching lots of huge sandies and a few juvenile hybrids, but are not finding the big hybrids lately. Anyone having any luck?

Saw Bridgeport guide Keith Bunch fileting some nice big hybrids for his customers at northside marina on Saturday!
I finally caught one nice hybrid on thursday eve, 24 inches, first hybrid in over a month. Still catching lots of 16 -18 inch sandies. We only use artificials.

If you are catching 18inch sandbass I wouldn't complain. I might get a new measuring tape but I wouldn't complain.

Good to see you out today Keith. I never made it to the other end of the lake, it was a little windy for me. We ended up catching at least 50 sandies each with a few Hybrids thrown in. No keeper hybris, but we had a good time. I ended up anchoring and had the fish to myself all day. I think the fish liked my boat or something, cause they just seemed to hang out with us the whole time. Deffinately not complaining.

Britton,
Any monster sandbass? It would be awsome to find a place to produces 18 in sandbass on a regular basis.

Jason, Bridgeport is one of my Favorite lakes partly due to the quality of fish. Yes there are many monsters out there. We will have to hook up and head out there sometime. I can show you some of my hot spots. Its MUCH more consistant than Benbrook.

Not only is it a quality fishing lake, it is very scenic just
to ride around looking, but it looks too fishy to do much of
that.

My bathtub is more consistant than BB smile I am heading to Kansas this weekend but after that we need to hit it up! BP is a beautiful lake and NO traffic on the road getting there.

Hey Britton

Don't quite remember the call to join you!! Tee hee!!! Tell your wife it's rude to text someone NOT on the lake how many fish they are nailing.

Hey Keith, did you watch Jamie outfish Britton or what? Seems the wives always talk s**t when their husbands put them on fish!

Haha

Where's the best place to launch from?

For launching you have several good options. I launch at the dam if I want to fish the main lake first but I launch at the Wise County Park if I want to hit the river area first. Both are free and are good ramps.

See the attached link.

I don't believe that I need a new measuring stick! The 18" sandies are out there and in good #s. Also catching some nice catfish right along with them on slabs. It all comes down to 3 things. Location, location, location.

Man take some pictures next time that is awsome! We caught what I thought to be monster sandbass at texoma earlier this year but they were barely over 16in and a little over 2lbs. 18inches would have to be close to 3lbs.
