I have a 2.6L Yamaha HPDI 200. I was driving and my low oil light came on and the buzzer was going off. I shut it down and waited and then restarted it and it wasn't buzing. So I started moving again and it was fine. Then when I got on plane again it did it again. I shut it of again and then idled to a marina and bought some oil. Put it in and then it did it again when I tried to get on plane. It wouldn't do it at idle, so I assumed that there was something in the tank. I was idling back to the ramp and all of the jet fleas and pleasure boats came running within about 30 feet of me and there wake cause the buzzer to come back on, but the wake was also shoving me towards the rocks on I30, so I had no choice but to keep it at idle and turn away from the rocks. Well, all of the sudden the buzzing quit. I assume whatever was blocking the pickup got sucked through. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should do now? Sory this was so long.

Check the tank under the cowling. If I remember correctly there is a toggle switch that will fill that upper tank.

Have seen Yamahas with a small 1/4 inch inline filter under the main oil tank that will cause this when they are starting to stop up. Sounds like motor mounted oil tank is not getting enough oil to it, with alarm coming on with movement of boat.
