If you had your choice of any except the telescoping rods in either Crucial or Lowrider for $70.00 new which would you buy? Not looking for a model just either Shimano Crucial or Falcon Lowrider. thanks Johnny

I have had several falcons break and you cant get anybody to give warranty on them , just keep that in mind , crucials have way better warranty in the stores.

Crucial for the warranty. Both rods have great feel.

A no brainer, I buy the American Made Falcon Lowrider. If you buy it at Academy they will replace it if broken. Haven't broke one yet.

I don't mean to throw another name in the mix on you here but you might check out Acaidia Sports. They have really good rods for an even better price. I know you might think that it is too good to be true, and that is what I thought but wow I was very surprised when they came in. They are as good if not better than my Falcons.

Falcon, no doubt... simply because it's American. The crucial is made in china and has a chinese emblem on the butt of the rod.

I just bought my first Crucial in the MedHvy 7'11" non-colapsing for lighter, 1/2 oz and less, C'rigs. Used it all last weekend on Choke Canyon and flat loved it. I looked at the Falcons but chose the Crucial for the softer tip with a long back bone. It is a dream at casting the exceptionaly long C'rig leaders that I bought it for.
