Tsunami sized boat wakes, steady 15-20 mph winds, ski-fleas everywhere , pontoon boaters that never received a lesson on manners from their mama , and 24 hour fireworks . Oh, and almost forgot...."limits of magnum sized sandbass" with a few hybrids sprinkled in, and some pretty fair-to-middlin country crappie fishing. Man...I love this lake

glad you did well...most of the reasons we don't venture to the lake on holidays youve already listed..

I fished this morning for a few hours and all the fish caught were all around 10 inches. Caught 16 and let them all go to see my jig later!

I had a man on a jet ski come within 15 ft of my boat this morning and pick my marker up for me and ask what it was for. He thought he was really helping me out!

I didn't get to fish today....Ernest needed a bunch of work done on his dock....and I was the only guy around that answered his phone (Ernest is the guy with the whip)

Well, you either have a lot of patience, which I don't, or you learn how to show your displeasure without saying a word

I thought about going up there this weekend, but I knew that lake would be a miserable experience so I went to RayBob. Caught some good fish, all still swimming. But Zero boat or jet ski annoyance. Actually only had one knothead come too close on half plane and nearly turned me and my tube over. But, he didn't know any better, so I didn't get mad at him. You know how it is, when someone goes out and buys a brand new Nitro, they have the right to swamp anyone in a lesser vessel. Obviously the more $$ you spend, the more rights you have. Right? But, it was just one. I know that on CC, I would have been so busy with double gun salutes, that I wouldn't have been able to fish. That hour and 15 minute drive would have been a waste of time.
