Stupid question.
If I am trolling through a no wake area with my 80lb thrust TM on high (15'-18' fiberglass bass boat) and I create a wake from the TM alone...would I be in violation of the no wake law?
I looked on the TPWD site, but could not find enough info about it. Can someone direct me to the law regarding no wake zones?
I sure miss the stump dodging on Lake Fork...But I'm coming back soon to catchOVER the slot! 👍🏾

Well look at it this way. You have to idle through a no-wake zone, and when you are idling with your big motor, that throws off a bigger wake than even a 108lb trolling motor will. Therefore I would not worry about it. I believe that these no wake areas are designed so you will not run them on plane.
Character is who you are when nobody else is around.

You got way too much time on your hands to ask a question like this.

Yes. From what I've managed to assess from your post, it seems obvious you're consumed with guilt which stems directly from doing this. As a trained professional/assessor of no-wake scofflaws with extensive experience in treating people who violate these rules in an incurable manner, I strongly recommend you turn yourself in to TWPD, serve your time and keep your nose clean. You'll feel like a new man. Also, to make sure you don't repeat this error - sell your boat and fish from the bank from now on, simply to make sure you don't risk repeating this transgression and infecting yourself further with this sickness.

Wow that was a little harsh, I believe he should be regulated to absolutly no more than a 12volt, 36lb thrust trolling motor. Even if he feels the urge to hit high bypass, he will still be a law abiding no wake zoner. We can call it the Delbert Wadsworth project for all future offenders.

I read somewhere, that it is impossible to not make a wake if you are making headway. So, it is a matter of degree. I read your profile and see you are an Analyst (spelled with a "y".)You analyze too much! (I know, I was an analyst, too, before retirement.)
Now go fish!

I doubt you are waking, but if you are , where it is posted not to , then ofcource you are in violation. so dont do it if you should not do it.
