I am getting a boat for inshore bay and freshwater, and have narrowed it down to two boats.
Carolina Skiff 198DLV Elite Xpress HD20 Bay
Who has any experience with these boats and can tell what your opinion is either of them. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

bohunter_biff - If you had asked about Kenner I could have responded don't know much about the Carolina Skiff or Xpress but, someone should come along with info. Thanks for what you do!
At least my boat and truck are paid for, woo hoo!

Hey throwback, tell me about Kenner........I had glanced at the 191 Tunnel but then forgot about it. Tell me what you think about them, the boats draft, and fishability. Thanks for the help!!!!!

Haynie boats are the best boats made. Check out the fiberglass construction and workmanship, no other boat even comes close. I don't have one, my friend does, it's unbeleiveable, smooth ride, will last forever. Buy the best and you'll never have any regrets.

Hey throwback, tell me about Kenner........I had glanced at the 191 Tunnel but then forgot about it. Tell me what you think about them, the boats draft, and fishability. Thanks for the help!!!!! bohunter_biff - Mine is a Kenner 19VX with a 115 Optimax. I use it almost exclusively for bass fishing in Amistad since I am so far from Port A and with the cost of gas being what it is and has been. As far as fishability I think it is perfect for what I do. I have fished a couple of tournaments and could get anywhere the bass boat drivers could and 46 mph (gps) is fast enough. The large freeboard and hull design makes it one of the driest rides I have ever experienced. On the other hand, the design and relative light weight makes you work harder on windy days with the trolling motor. Since mine is not a tunnel hull the draft makes it more of a bay boat than a flats boat unlike the tunnel hull Kenner or the carolina skiff and the load weight makes a difference. For more technical specs you can go to www.kenner-boats.com They have all their models and technical details. Just as an FYI, mine came fully rigged trailer, trolling motor, batteries, bimini top, fishing chairs, etc... for less than 20 grand off the showroom floor. Mike
