Not the same as Caddo Mills. Caddo Lake is on the border of Marion and Harrison County in east Texas and it is on the LA border There are several guides you can find on the internet (both in LA and TX). Caddo is not your typical reservoir (which, you're probably aware of) - in my opinion, it's more fun to set out with a 6hp john boat, a bucket of shiners, and a map - you'll catch some fish and it's a blast. To catch crappie, just ask around the local bait shops (Johnson's ranch on the lake comes to mind) and they'll be more than happy to tell you where they're at. In addition, there are businesses that rent out low hp boats so you can explore the lake.

Go To caddolake.com for all listings of things to see and do on Caddo. Steamboat ride is a must. Visit to Jefferson historic town is a must. Lake map is a must. Accomidations at Caddo State Park or several B & B in Uncertain, Texas. All you can eat catfish at Big Pines Lodge is another must. If this is your first time here, do no forget your camera. There is nothing else like Caddo Lake.
