I am happy to say that there are still striper in the lake. We hit a school at 6:30 after the start of the tourney and caught 21 by 7:00 AM.... All striper and no hybrids!!!!! The key is...... USE BIG SHAD!!!!! We were fishing 6-8 inch gizzards. We saw one of the guide boats net a 18 lb striper too!!!! In total, we caught 23 stripers and 26 hybrids for the day. Many in the 6-9 lb range... Released all hybrids and kept enough stripers for weigh-in and dinner. It was a great day of fishing. Thanks TSA!!!

Great time had by all...particularly those who stayed at Anchor Inn , or nearby, on Friday night!

Thanks again for the great time fellas!!!! I was still tastin that mexican food at lunchtime on Sat. Just glad ya'll let us go to bed at a decent hour.

We were team "SHADZILLA" until we realized that team Stripaholic beat us out of 2nd place which turned us into team "sadzilla". Thanks for a great tourney guys, as always we had a great time.

It was great getting back with the TSA crowd this weekend. It was a hoot joining Team Happy Hunter and fishing with George Saturday. Between the two of us, we solved almost all the world's problems while we drifted shad. I hope I can still be fishing like George when I'm 79 years old, heck, I hope I'm still living then.

Since my schedule did not allow me to pre fish, I hung around and post fished Sunday and Monday. I caught 4 nice hybrids and 23 sandbass Sunday morning (miscounted the sandies ), then caught shad and whupped the blues on Sunday afternoon. I caught some small blues, then landed a 26 pounder. What a hoot! Monday morning I tried the crappie under two mile bridge, but either I've fogotten how to handle a crappie jig pole or the north wind had them turned off.

Actually, Kodys'papa, that was sunrise Monday morning in the picture. The sunset on Sunday evening is what reminded me to charge up my camera batteries.
