We're at about $17 ($19 after tax) a gallon now but we use our containers to avoid contamination issues. Doesn't matter if you bring your container or not, ours are filled and ready to go.

I've seen it as high as $26 a gallon in the Yamaha containers.

I paid $16 a gallon at Rockwall Marine last time I was by there. They will not fill containers either due to contamination.

I live just north of North Texas Marine on north loop 820 and Blue Mound Round.

Recently I purchased a 2.5 gallon jug of Yamalube. Price out the door with tax was $45.41, which breaks down to just over $18/gallon.

I paid $18 per gallon (plus tax)at Rockwall Marine the other day, in their container ready to go. It is $19 per gallon at West Boats in Mesquite if you bring your own container.

i guess im just happy with TCW3 spec. oil in my VMAX and gave up on ring free at 1$ an ounce and have been using sea foam with no problems. its what we are comfortable with in our machines that is important.

not a negative post, just a comment.

I've never understood how SeaFoam is cheaper. Their own website says to use 1 oz. per gallon if added to the fuel tank (2nd section from bottom titled "When Added to Fuel Tank") . Seafoam runs about $6.99 for 16 oz's. That's about $.43 cents per oz. So you would spend $21.50 to properly treat a 50 gallon tank of gas per their instructions.

Now, with RingFree you use 1 oz. per 10 gallons. So if 12 oz.s cost $16.95 you're spending $1.41 per oz. Yet for that same 50 gallons you'll only use 5 oz's which is $7.06. Seem to me that $7 per 50 gallon tank is cheaper than $21.50 per 50 gallon tank.

Seriously though, use what you like but I don't find SeaFoam cheaper if used per the instructions.

K. D. Ive been using Ring Free for years and have always read the posts singing the praises of Sea Foam. I picked some up last week and after reading the mixing rates I was wondering exactly the same thing you are. Seems to me your paying a lot more to put a non factory product in your motor.

I work at a Skeeter/Yamaha dealer so obviously folks will see me as biased but what I posted was the exact thought process I went through with my own boat(s) prior to going to work for a dealer.

Granted some guys use SeaFoam at the Ringfree rate but if you're diluting a product by 90%, are you really seeing any benefit? hammer
