My boat has no cleats and no tie down points. How would i go about installing some cleats? Just drill into the fiberglass? Any advice or tips are appreciated.
Keep it Tight...

Just drill through but make sure you hold a piece of wood or duct tape directly on top of the hole you are drilling. This will help keep the glass and gelcoat from splintering. If you can put one underneath the hole as well, that is great. Then you can just use bolts to hold it in place. If you have access, using fender washers underneath will make it super strong. If you don't have access, you can use stainless lag or wood screws.

If you have access to get underneath the holes, install a piece of wood,...(maybe 3X5x 1/2 inch) then run your bolts, washers and nuts thru it all. Much stronger. The wood spreads the load over a larger area of the glass. I know you can do it on the stern cleats, but maybe not the bow cleats.
Now, Donald...please pick John Bolton for your running mate.
