I have an 89 Javelin that someone put cheap seats in. They screwed right through a couple of holes in the aluminum frames on the seats into the fiberglass and wood that rises up behind the seats. Needless to say they have come loose and stripped out the holes. I want to buy new seats and install them but every seat I have looked at looks like it is supposed to mount to a pedestal with four screws on the bottom of the seat. I can not use a pedestal because the seats would be too high. How does one go about mounting new seats?

Also, each seat sits on a raised section with a gap in between, could a bench seat be mounted across the gap and somehow fastened to the raised sections on each side?

Start with the manufacturer. I can still get seats from Ranger for my older Ranger.

Manufacturer is out of business.

There has to be a way to mount new seats without spending the kind of money it will cost for OEM stuff if I can even find them.
