Yesterday evening my brother and I were fishing the 121 cut. The game warden approached and verified licenses and normal boat stuff. As they just pushed off from our boat, two “go fasts” ripped through the no wake zone. The law dogs were on them, and I mean fast. I have no problems with the wardens checking my boat, they were very professional. Many times I wished they were there when stupid stuff happens, well last evening, I got my wish.

A buddy of mine and I were fishing on the Brazos at the north end of Lake Whitney several years ago. A guy on a jet flea had been running way too close to the several boats fishing in the area, but had gone upriver. The game warden came through checking licenses, safety equipment, etc. His foot was on my boat as we pulled out life preservers, showed our licenses...just then, the jet flea jerk roared back up about twenty yards away and yelled to a boat of people he apparently knew "Hey, ya got any beer, I'm out!" The warden thanked us very much, and went and got the guy. I'm pretty sure he went to jail and the Bosque County Sheriff hauled his jet flea away to impoundment. Sometimes there is justice in the world.

That's awesome. I love it when jerks get nailed like that.

That kind of thing should happen more often. Wish the warden was out Saturday when 2 or 3 different boats didn't think the no wake zone applied to them at the old cut in the dam.

A few weeks back XYZ had the great pleasure of watching a jet fleaer run over I believe his line intentionaly, and his jet drive inhaled the line and weight and was making an awful racket afterwards, the flea had to have his ride towed back to the marina. Sweet Justice bannana2 bannana2 bannana2.

Great stories guys ... thanks for posting. I must be one of the few folks who (so far) has not had trouble with the other lake users but I can see how it happens. In a related post, I saw someone say keep the phone number of the warden in your cell phone and report the TX numbers. Is there a list of warden numbers of the TX lakes? (Specifically I want Eagle Mountain).

Subscribe to the TP&WD Game Warden Field Notes...they are sent out periodically. There is some very good informative reading...and helps you to understand that the GWs are there to help protect us and the fishing/hunting resources we all enjoy. They help keep the scum from taking too many (name your game). Texas has some of the best hunting and fishing in the US. TP&WD help keep it that way.

Off soapbox...

That is great. The good guys won . . . at least for an evening.
