That really does look a bit like a Sturgeon...Especially if you caught it on carp bait up at Denison hehe.
Shovelnose Sturgeon are awesome. I would LOVE to catch one of those. The Shovelnose Sturgeon is one of Texas's rarest freshwater fish, at least in the fact that it's only located in a very specific area. One of my most wanted species hehe.

Yeah lol, I am basing the "Shovelnose Sturgeon" assumption on the fact he was using carp bait, and I know he spends a lot of time fishing the Red River.
