I had the pleasure of fishing with Clay and his 5 & 8 yr old daughters today. What a memory for Clay and myself. This is what crappie fishing is all about. Grace and Glory had never been crappie fishing before so this day was very special. Glory had her first fish just as soon as she put her line in the water. Grace followed up with her first crappie within no time at all. The girls kept Clay and myself busy all morning baiting hooks and taking off fish. Clay did get to fish a little but he didn't mind. Seeing how much fun the girls were having beats pulling in fish himself. To make it easier on the girls I had them using minnows and the crappie were going after them. The girl caught around 70 crappie all together keeping 25 or so in the 3 hour we fished. Thanks Clay for allowing me to share the memories from today. Cliff Glory's first crappie.  Glory and Grace with a nice crappie Glory caught.  What a cute pic with Grace and her Dad and her fish.  Clay and his daughters with todays catch. The girls caught nearly all of them.

Who says there is not a haven!!! Just look at the smiles on the faces of the girls and tell me that is not haven... Enjoy them while you can cause they grow up FAST....
Thanks for sharing with us.. Wish my grandkids were home so I could take them fishing and have a little haven for myself..

now thats the way to keep our young people interested in the outdoors and off the street. hope it is not going to be thier last trip. keep up the great work with those girls of urs and it seems now u have some fishing partners for life.......really nice catch they had.
