Whatever became of the developer who downed all the trees at Lake Lewisville and left them laying.

He paid a pretty large settlement that will go to habitat restoration.

He recieved a very light slap on the pinky finger, it could have easily been in the millions and not just over 600,000. With the price for the completed lots, that sets a good example for all developers in the future do what you want, then say I'm sorry, this was a very well calculated cost of doing business that only hurt the ecosystem. The corp of eng, the developer, the city of corinth, and all others involved should be ashamed of themselves. I am also in the business and the way they conducted themselves sickens me.

One more question: Wasn't that the same area of the lake where someone shot that alligator and left the carcass?

The alligator was shot up Little Elm, not in Hickory Creek, where the trees were cut.

The habitat restoration was to be in the form of huge brush piles. However. the Corp.says they don't have the coordinates. Yeah right!!
