No that's not a typo! I had a hunch today, and headed out just after the rain passed in our area. I started fishing around 2:30pm and quit around 6:30pm. I probably caught 25-30 fish with lots of 8-9inchers. Around 4pm, BAM a nice thick black crappie right at 14" . Over the next hour I picked up the other 3, which were all huge white crappie with the largest going 16" and 2lbs 7oz!.
I cleaned a total of 17 fish , but those 4 were awsome.

Those 4 alone weighed 8lbs 9oz. Then I weighed what I guessed were the 3 next biggest, and came up with a total of 11lbs 12oz!

Now, if I could just put together a stringer like that in our next CAT tourney.

Sorry Matthew, I wasn't holding out on purpose...Lake Limestone. I would have gone to RC, but Limestone is a little quicker for me. Hopefully I can find some big uns on RC next month.
By the way, they were all caught in about 12-16' of water and about 10-14' deep.

Also, all of them were caught on JIG UM JIGS!
(main colors were black/blue & black/chartruse, while red/chartruse also produce a couple of fish...water is still a little stained from all the wind)

Funny thing about that old cat, who's 17 by the way. If I'm cleaning catfish or sandbass or something like that, she won't eat it. She'll only eat crappie or bluegill scraps. She's got better taste than more humans.
