I am able to make it down to Port A twice a year to fish. It never fails that if my boys or I are using live shrimp for bait that we catch a couple stingrays. One I caught and "landed" in March this year I guesstimate at 25-30 lbs.
I have always heard since I was a child that if cleaned properly stingrays make nice table fare.
My question is whether anyone can explain the proper method of cleaning them and then provide me with a good recipe for cooking them should I decide to give it a try when we come down to Port A in July.
Thanks

I make it through the day by dreaming of my next trip to Port A.

From what I was told up here in Virginia is that alot of asians just cut off the wings and scoop out the meat from the inside, and treat it like scallops. I myself have never tried it, but that website that south padre bum gave you might be a bit more helpful
