I was hoping you get some response from somebody. I am heading down there Thursday morning -Sunday to fish. I read a few reports on another forum and it sounded like they are catching trout south of marker 13.

i fished tues and wensday last week south of bird island and did real good...over thirty trout and two over 28

Spec trout what were you using? And how were you fishing? Croakers, artificials, drifting?

using croaker...drifting till we hook up and then throwen anchor...we were catching bout 5 to 7 then pullen anchor and drifting again till hooked up with another

Was Bird Island located near Traylor, or is there another one?

bird island is south of marker 37 baitstand heading twoards the landcut it will be on your left side and you will see alot trucks bc theres a boat ramp there

Well, I knew that Bird Island, but that is in the Upper Laguna, not Port A, I know of a small Bird Island behind Traylor Island in Redfish Bay.
I will be fishing Sunday out of Aransas Pass.

fished n a tournament this weekend n they were killing reds at the tip of the north jetties n off the lydia ann channel

Since u fished both north and sout this weekend SAPDBLUE what do you recomend bc im fishing a tournament next weekend and my plan was to fish between bird island and the mouth of baffin...we caught tons of trout 2 weekends back a couple miles south of bird island and a few big ones to (two over 28)...but that doesnt meen anything now those fish could be long from that spot.

I fished in the San Antonio Police Dept Intelligence Battle of the Badges tournament...I'd say make the run south, cuz there is a ton of pressure on the fish around Aransas....this coming weekend I'll b fishing another 1 for the San Antonio Target, Hunting and Fishing Club...just another small tourney, and i'll more than likely make the run south
